God's Way of Eating

total-woman-april

When you go into a "food market" you are only going to see two types of foods. One is food made by God like fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes, etc. The other type you will see is food made by companies that are in jars, boxes, bags, containers, etc. Now who do you think knows more about what is best for you, God or companies?

A Healthy Self-Image

As of late, I’ve encountered many women that are feeling unhappy about their appearance and how they see themselves in the mirror. Could this be you?

Determining Your Relationship with Food

In Tim 4:1-2, God says that “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, V: 3-4 forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving.”

Resolutions That Stick!

New Years is a time most people are fresh with plans and bucket loads of motivation to achieve their challenging goals for the next 12 months. Unfortunately, this spark of desire can be short lived as people gradually fall back into their comfort zones and never fully realize their potential or attain their dreams.

Total Woman

Greetings women of God and welcome to Total Woman. Have you ever started a diet and quit before seeing results or, maybe you decided to change your eating habits but the longing for bad foods kept calling you? Most people who have a desire to eat healthy and begin an exercise plan are doomed to failure before they even start.  Most often this is due to a negative mindset and perspective of oneself.

In order for you to develop healthy eating habits, you need to deal with the negative mindset that has held you back for so long. As Christians, we tend to believe that all things are possible with God (Luke 18:27), but when it pertains to others, not ourselves. We have trouble believing God for ourselves, let alone even asking! In the flesh, tend to be weak and less diligent, yet we want to receive from God without any effort on our own part, but it will not work. The Word clearly states in James 2:26, “Faith without works is dead”. Developing a successful diet and exercise plan requires you to make better choices, but it will all begin when YOU begin to see yourself as God sees you. I encourage you to make a decision that will change the rest of your life. You deserve a life of abundance, and now is the time for change! Let’s begin to change our way of thinking by confessing what we want.

To develop discipline and self-control in the areas of diet and exercise, make the following confessions:

“In the name of Jesus, I declare that I cultivate temperance by subjecting my mind and body to God’s Word. I cast down every negative thought about my appearance that attempts to exalt itself against the knowledge of God and His will for my life. I exhibit self-control, diligence, wisdom and patience regarding my exercise regimen and what I eat. I walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh. I am in control of my body and I put to death all unhealthy desires. I am more than a conqueror and I can do all things through Christ who empowers me. I release my most holy faith to bring these things to pass in my life. My words have creative ability, and in the name of Jesus, I have what I say. Amen!”

Well that’s it! You are now on you’re way to seeing a new you! And remember you deserve this.
