It’s Sunday morning in the Parks household. What a joy it is to get up, have breakfast, then prepare to go to Sunday School and church!  As a little girl, it was always a good experience to be able to go to church clothed in with what I would later discover was my “Sunday Best.”  My mom, dad and sister would be at their best as well, but I think it was my parents that really set the tone.  My dad never went to church without being dressed in a suit.  And I can’t remember a time when mom wasn’t well-put together: pretty dresses, beautiful suits, matching hats, shoes, purses, jewelry…the whole nine yards was her mode of operation.

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughs. See i there is any offensive way in me, andlead me in the way everlasting. -Psalm 139:23-24
As one looks into the mirror at oneself, he/she should relect on this verse on a daily basis.
If one is attending church services on a saturday, was out and about and didn't have time to go home and change, refused to miss services because o how they were dressed is one thing. However, if one attends sunday services, leaves from home...I don't understand why they would enter through the gates of the Lord's house in jeans, tanktop, shorts and flip flops.
To me this is highly disrespectul of God's House, His Holy Temple...Would Jesus be so disrespectful?

The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord is on his heavenly throne. -Psalm 11:4

This is what I feel when I go into the Lord's House: The Church; The Body of Christ Jesus to give praise and worship with my brothers and sisters
